These areas are perfect for getting used to the vehicle in your first few lessons but then giving you the time and space to practice manoeuvres such as parallel parking, three-point turns and hill starts. All of which are vital skills to driving and some of which will defiantly come up in your practical test.

When you start with us, we do our best to ensure that we can provide exactly the lessons that you think will be best for you. This includes getting your choice of car (manual or automatic gears) and if, for example, you would prefer a female driving instructor, just let us know.

YOUR FIRST LESSONS
Our instructors will discuss your current driving ability with you. Whether you’ve had lessons elsewhere, you’ve been practising with a member of your family or perhaps this is your first ever lesson – it does not matter. We will guide you through the controls of the car and make sure that you are comfortable with how to adjust the mirrors and seat so that it’s perfect for you. We do not want you to be distracted with being uncomfortable – you have enough to think about already.
For your first lesson, we will take you to a quite road and get you to practise the basics such as steering and pulling away in first gear. Regardless of your previous driving experience, it is good for us as instructors to see what level you are and to see if you have picked up any bad habits already.
Students are usually surprised after their first lesson. We get you into the car and into the driving seat as soon as possible. A lot of students comment on how they thought that the first lesson would be just an introduction to the car; they didn’t think they would actually be driving on proper roads for their first lesson. This is important though as the sooner you get behind the wheel, the quicker you will become comfortable with driving. The sooner that happens, the sooner you can pass your test and go out, on your own, exploring and visiting friends.
